Privacy policy

Last updated: 15 May 2026 · Effective from app version 1.5.1 (build 9). If we materially change this policy in future versions we will bump the "Last updated" date and surface a one-line notice in the app's What's New screen.

This is the privacy policy for Game Night, an Android app published by AsadTechLead (sole proprietor: Asad Mahmood, Lahore, Pakistan) under the package name com.asadtechlead.gamenight. For all privacy questions email asadtechlead@gmail.com.

The short version

  • No account, no signup. We don't ask for your email or phone number.
  • We collect the Android Advertising ID (for AdMob frequency capping) and any name + messages you send in multiplayer rooms. Nothing else.
  • Roll history, settings, saved wheel lists — all stay on your device in Hive/SharedPreferences. We never read them.
  • Multiplayer chat is gated to age 13+ with a built-in confirmation.
  • Ads are non-personalised. AdMob runs in COPPA-compliant child-directed mode.
  • You can request data deletion by emailing us. Uninstalling removes everything on-device automatically.

What we collect — full disclosure

1. Android Advertising ID (AD_ID)

The Google Mobile Ads SDK reads your device's Advertising ID to (a) cap how often an ad is shown to the same device and (b) detect ad fraud. We have configured the SDK with tagForChildDirectedTreatment = yes, tagForUnderAgeOfConsent = yes, and maxAdContentRating = G, which means Google will not personalise ads based on your interests, location, or app usage. You can reset or opt out of the Advertising ID in Settings ❯ Google ❯ Ads on your Android device.

2. Multiplayer room data

When you join a multiplayer Ludo / Truth or Dare / dice room (over Bluetooth, Wi-Fi LAN or online), the following travels between devices:

  • The display name you typed in Settings (default: "Player")
  • Game state (dice rolls, board moves, chat messages, attached chat photos and voice notes)

Bluetooth / Wi-Fi LAN: data goes only to the other devices in your room via Google Nearby Connections (Bluetooth) or local WebSocket transport (Wi-Fi LAN). Nothing leaves your local network. We never see it.

Online mode: data passes through a Supabase Realtime channel (Supabase, Inc., US-East data centre) acting as a stateless relay. Supabase does not durably store your messages; they live in the channel until the room closes, then are dropped.

3. AdMob diagnostics

AdMob collects standard SDK diagnostics: app version, OS version, crash signal, IP address (used to determine the country for ad serving). This is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. We do not have access to per-user AdMob data.

What we do NOT collect

  • Your email address, phone number, name, real-world identity
  • Your contact list, photo library, calendar, SMS, call log
  • Your precise or approximate geographic location (see permissions below — coarse/fine location is used by Android's BLE discovery, never read by us)
  • Your microphone audio outside of multiplayer chat voice notes (which you explicitly record)
  • Your camera images outside of QR scanning + multiplayer chat photo attachments (which you explicitly select)
  • Roll history, settings, saved lists, sticker collections — these live on-device only

Children's privacy (COPPA / Google Play Families Policy)

Game Night is content-rated Everyone and complies with Google's Designed for Families policy. We:

  • Configure AdMob with tagForChildDirectedTreatment = yes on every ad request — Google then serves only G-rated, non-personalised ads.
  • Gate the multiplayer chat feature to age 13+ via a one-time built-in age confirmation. Under-13 users can play every game but cannot send chat messages, attach photos, or record voice notes.
  • Default the Truth or Dare app to the Friendly pack, which is G-rated and curated for ages 8+.
  • Never request a child's email, real name, or any personal information.

If you believe a child under 13 has used the chat feature (e.g., bypassed the age gate by lying about their age), email asadtechlead@gmail.com with the room context and we'll purge transient logs.

Third-party processors

  • Google AdMob — ad serving + ad measurement. Privacy policy · How Google uses data.
  • Supabase, Inc. — Realtime channel for online multiplayer rooms. Privacy policy. Messages are passed through, not durably stored.
  • Google Play services — Nearby Connections (Bluetooth multiplayer) + in-app review prompts + flexible update. Privacy policy.

Data retention

  • On-device data (roll history, settings, saved wheel lists, sticker collections): retained for as long as the app is installed. Uninstalling removes it instantly.
  • Multiplayer chat messages/photos/voice notes: not durably stored. Bluetooth/LAN traffic is ephemeral by transport. Online-mode Supabase channels are stateless; messages are relayed and dropped.
  • AdMob diagnostics: retained per Google's policy — we don't control this.
  • Crash reports: Game Night does not integrate Crashlytics, Sentry or any other crash-reporting SDK. Android's built-in Play Console crash dashboard provides aggregated, anonymised crash counts only.

Your rights

  • Access: all your data lives on your device — open the app and look.
  • Correction: change your display name in Settings.
  • Deletion: uninstall the app, or email asadtechlead@gmail.com with the subject "Data deletion request" — we respond within 30 days.
  • Opt-out of personalisation: Settings ❯ Google ❯ Ads ❯ Reset advertising ID (Android system setting). Game Night does not personalise to begin with.
  • Opt-out of streak reminders: Settings ❯ Notifications inside the app.

International data transfers

We are based in Pakistan. AdMob and Supabase operate from the US. By using Game Night you consent to the transfer of the limited data described above to those processors' jurisdictions.

Changes to this policy

We will revise this page if our data practices change. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will also be surfaced in the app's What's New screen on the affected release.
